IFPRI-Universidad del Pacifico Asia-Latin America Conference to take place March 22-24, 2010

The Asia-Latin America conference will take place in Lima, Peru March 22 – 24, 2010.

IFPRI-Universidad del Pacifico Asia-Latin America Conference POSTPONED

Due to unforeseen circumstances we are postponing our Nov 10-12 workshop in Lima.  We apologize for any inconvenience.  The new date is tentatively scheduled for March of next year.

The new date and more information will be posted here as soon as it is finalized.  We hope that you will be able to join us then.

IFPRI Asia-Latin America Conference

 The IFPRI conference, “Fostering Growth and Reducing Poverty and Hunger in Asia And Latin America: Opportunities for Mutual Learning”  co-sponsored by the Universidad del Pacifico, will take place November 10 – 12, 2009 in Lima, Peru.

The conference will bring together researchers and policymakers from Asia and Latin America to discuss how the two regions can learn from each others’ experiences with trade liberalization, investment priorities, growth strategies, rural-urban transformation, social protection, and infrastructure development, to encourage economic growth and reduce poverty and hunger.
